Coach tours specialist Shearings has dropped single-room supplements at 27 hotels featured in its Coast & Country collection.
The offer applies to both coach and self-drive hotel breaks.
However, it only applies in hotels where single rooms are available. Single guests booking double or twin rooms will still incur a supplement for sole occupancy.
Head of Retail Sales Ashley Dellow said: “We absolutely understand why hotels charge a single supplement but it’s really good news that we can now offer a great selection of UK holidays with no single room supplement.
“The number of customers choosing to travel solo is increasing year-on-year and we’re pleased to be able to encourage this.
“Customers shouldn’t be put off going on holiday because they have no one to share a room with, or they prefer privacy. There is limited availability on single-occupancy rooms at each hotel, and agents should urge their customers to book early to secure their preferred dates with no supplement.”
