Agents are still having some problems getting through to the Scenic Group on the phone, five weeks after the company was struck by a cyber attack.

The group, which includes Scenic Luxury Cruises & Tours and Emerald Cruises, said today that it is experiencing temporary interruptions to its phone lines.

In a statement, the company said: “On 28 March 2022 the Scenic Group experienced temporary disruptions to our phone lines that have now been rectified.”

It said its core systems resumed functionality on 14 March following the unauthorised access to its IT systems five weeks ago. “However, as we restore them to normal operations, temporary interruptions to our phone lines are an unfortunate part of this process,” it said.

“Please be assured that we are continuing to operate our cruise and tour programs as scheduled.”

It added: “We appreciate your patience and understanding during this time and apologise for any inconvenience this may have caused and we wish to assure our trusted agent partners and guests that we are doing everything possible to resolve this issue long-term as quickly as possible.”
