Flexi Reps has been appointed by rugby legend Jason Robinson OBE to expand his children’s school sports academy to hotels, resorts and cruise lines.
The World Cup winner runs JR Sports Stars with ex-Sheffield Wednesday and Mansfield Town football player Martin Turner.
It consists of a group of professional sports coaches and instructors experienced in coaching individuals and groups from participation to competitive levels.
JR Sports Stars has up until this point focused on sports academies and programmes for schools in the UK. Flexi Reps will act as the ‘travel industry link for them to help open the doors to hotels, resorts and cruise lines’, said Flexi Reps Managing Director Craig Davidson.
Mr Davidson said: “This is the next level, to offer a shorter version of JR Sports Stars sporting academy for the travel industry in a more fun, relaxed atmosphere.”
The week-long activity programmes will offer a mixture of sports including football and rugby training and coaching.
Mr Davidson said a luxury hotel chain in the Maldives had approached them to provide a football coaching product, while they are also looking to sign a hotel chain in Tenerife.
The next step is to approach cruise lines. In the past, Mr Robinson has been involved with P&O Cruises in the past as a celebrity guest.
Mr Davidson added they were hoping to have a product ready for operators to incorporate into their brochures by the Easter holidays in 2022. He said if travel opened up over summer, they may be able to offer something before the October school holidays.
Mr Robinson said: “It’s all about families, where parents get to kick back and enjoy a relaxing time in glorious sunshine while the kids take part in an unforgettable multi-sports and premier rugby coaching experience interacting with professionals, ex-professionals and top coaches.”
Flexi Reps was launched in August 2020 by Mr Davidson, former Jet2holidays Trade Sales Manager, to be the ‘boots on the ground’ for companies who needed sales and marketing representation.
