Royal Caribbean International has extended cancellations of calls to its private destination Labadee until the end of May.

The cruise line cancelled a week of calls to the private port, on Haiti, in mid-March, then announced cancellations would continue until the end of April.

Royal Caribbean said in a statement: “The safety and security of our guests, crew, and communities we visit are our top priority. Our Global Security and Intel Team is closely monitoring the evolving situation in Haiti, and in an abundance of caution we have suspended all visits to Labadee fleetwide through May 2024. We will continue to monitor and reassess calls as needed, and will communicate updates with guests directly.

Customers who have booked activities for Labadee will be refunded and guests on affected cruises will be notified whether there will be another port of call, including Royal Caribbean’s private resort Perfect Day at CocoCay in the Bahamas, or an extra sea day.
