Princess Cruises is to continue its current policy of only accepting fully vaccinated passengers for the rest of its 2021 Southampton departures.

The policy had been due to change from 30 September for Regal Princess and 5 October for Sky Princess, to allow non-vaccinated passengers as well.

The change means families with young children have had their cruises cancelled, with some taking to social media to complain about the short notice in policy change.

A Princess Cruises spokesperson said: “The health and safety of our crew and guests remains our top priority and following a careful review of the current situation with the global pandemic we have decided to continue our policy of requiring all guests to be fully vaccinated.

“This policy will apply to the remainder of our cruises departing from Southampton in 2021.”
