Premier Holidays’ National Sales Manager Carly Charteris is leaving the operator after nine years to join Discover Qatar.

Based in Doha, she will be Regional Sales Manager for the destination management company.

Carly will join the company, which is part of Qatar Airways, in mid-February next year.

She will remain at Premier Holidays until 3 February.

Speaking exclusively to Travel Gossip, she said: “I have loved working at Premier Holidays, but this is one of those once-in-a-lifetime opportunities you need to grab with both hands.”

Initially, Carly will be looking after the US market for Discover Qatar, travelling between Doha and the States.

“For me, it is a really exciting time to be working for a company that is massively expanding on the back of the World Cup, which is also hosting the Grand Prix for the next 10 years,” she added.

Carly said she fell in love with Qatar when she visited in 2020, before the pandemic. “I went with my mum, we felt totally safe, totally respected, and I absolutely loved it, and the feedback we’ve had from agents who went on a fam with Premier in October is that it’s a wonderful destination.”

Until 3 February, Carly said ‘it’s business as usual’ at the worldwide tailormade specialist Premier.
