Passengers travelling to and from Spain are  most likely to be most disrupted this week as easyJet and Ryanair staff go on strike.

Ryanair crew in Spain walked out yesterday, causing at least 50 flights to be cancelled.

The three-day strike is most likely to affect flights to and from Alicante, Barcelona, Girona, Ibiza, Madrid, Malaga, Palma, Santiago de Compostela and Ibiza.

EastJet crew across Spain have also launched industrial action lasting nine days across three weekends.

Starting today, 450 crew members in Barcelona, Malaga and Palma are striking until Sunday.

Further strikes will follow on 15-17 July and 29 to 31 July.

EasyJet said it was planning to operate a full schedule of flights but it added that passenger are advised to check the status of their flight before travelling to the airport.
