Passengers had to be rushed off a British Airways’ Airbus A320 when a fire broke out in one of its engines.
The plane had just landed at Copenhagen Airport shortly after 7pm yesterday and was at the gate when the fire started.
Emergency services were called and passengers due to board the return flight to London watched from a window as they sprayed the engine. The return flight was subsequently cancelled.
A BA spokesperson told The Sun Online: “All customers and crew disembarked the BA820 safely.
“We would never operate an aircraft unless it was safe to do so.”
