Problems with the COVID pass on the NHS app show how important it is for clients to save their documents ahead of travelling, agents say.
The COVID pass on the NHS app went down on Wednesday afternoon due to ‘high traffic’, affecting travellers who hadn’t printed out or saved their details.
NHS Digital said at the time: “There are currently issues with accessing the COVID Pass on the NHS app and website. We are investigating the issue and will update as soon as we can.”
Some passengers who were due to travel while the service was down tweeted to say they were unsure about what to do and were concerned they may miss flights.
The COVID pass is now working again.
But agents on the Travel Gossip Facebook page said the incident showed passengers should print out, screenshot or download their COVID pass documents, just in case.
“I always tell my clients to print it out,” said one agent.
