A female passenger died during a United Airlines transatlantic flight to Heathrow Airport yesterday.
Medical staff met flight UA880 which arrived on schedule at Terminal 2 at 7.40am yesterday, after the nine-hour flight touched down from Houston in the US.
The 51-year-old woman reportedly went into cardiac arrest in the economy cabin on the flight in front of fellow passengers.
“We were called at 6:33am to reports of a passenger having suffered a cardiac arrest onboard a flight due to arrive at Heathrow Airport Terminal 2,” said a London Ambulance Service spokeswoman.
“Sadly, a woman was pronounced dead at the scene.”
A United Airlines spokesman said: “A customer onboard United flight 880 today, from Houston to London Heathrow, experienced a medical emergency onboard. We extend our deepest condolences to the customer’s family and loved
