The Department for Transport has amended its advice for vaccinated travellers returning to the UK after admitting it gave out incorrect information.

It initially said that Brits returning from amber countries didn’t need to self-isolate if they were fully vaccinated, even if they had received different types of vaccine for each of the two doses.

In the advice issued on 10 August, it said only EU and US arrivals needed to have received two doses of the same approved vaccine.

However, in a correction issued earlier today, the Department for Transport said UK arrivals will only be considered fully vaccinated if they’ve received two doses of the same approved vaccine.
