Homeworking group Not Just Travel says last month was a record-breaking October.

Sales were up 133% compared to pre-COVID levels in October 2019. Spend was also up, with average booking values rising from £3,495 last October to £4,285.

“More people are booking further ahead too, to ensure deals are locked in and the best destinations and prices are guaranteed,” said Co-founder Steve Witt.

Not Just Travel said it broke its sales record for the whole year in August.

“Our soaring sales figures dispel the myth that the financial climate is affecting people’s desire to book holidays,” said Steve.

Just over half of NJT’s bookings are for this winter and 37% are for summer 2023. Almost three-quarters – 73% – are adult-only.
