Not in the Guidebooks has reached a deal with Travel Counsellors for the network of 1,900 independent agents to sell its worldwide tours and activities.

The announcement coincides with Not in the Guidebook’s launch of a new agent dashboard, enabling agents to check live booking availability and access to content including images and videos for marketing purposes.

Not in the Guidebooks already has partnerships in place with a number of UK travel agents and operators including British Airways Holidays, Co-op Travel, Hays Travel and Intele Travel.

CEO Carol Savage said: “Many of Travel Counsellors’ customers are seeking holidays that are sustainable and support local communities, which makes our offering perfect for their clients, with our portfolio of authentic and responsible tourism experiences which put locals at the heart of everything.

“It can be difficult for agents to find and access these small, locally-run tourism businesses on the ground and through our platform we offer them access to over 1,000 individually vetted experiences across the world.”

Not in the Guidebooks has worked in partnership with the charitable The Travel Foundation to create selection criteria and guidelines to ensure all experiences offered are responsible and create a positive impact.
