Not in the Guidebooks has announced two key appointments.
Jamie-Lee Abtar has joined the business as Marketing Manager and Huw Price has been appointed Product Manager, with immediate effect.
Jamie-Lee has held previous roles with Intrepid and the Caribbean Tourism Organisation and has worked with a number of other travel industry organisations and associations, including Women in Travel CIC, as well as being an Ambassador for ITT Future You.
Her new role will be focused on driving marketing initiatives, brand elevation and partnerships.
Huw, who has more than 15 years of experience in travel, having worked in various sales, product and contracting roles, predominately in the golfing sector, will be looking at ways to drive sales through identifying new partnerships and expanding the range of destinations and experiences on offer from Not in the Guidebooks.
Not in the Guidebooks CEO and Founder Carol Savage said: “We are delighted to welcome both Huw and Jamie-Lee onto the team.
“Jamie-Lee brings with her a wealth of experience and a decade of crafting strategies for travel & lifestyle brands, whilst Huw has a great deal of knowledge of product and contracting.
“Since launching the business in December 2019, we have grown exponentially, and these appointments are a further important step in helping us build a global brand over the next four to five years.”
Not in the Guidebooks offers authentic experiential travel experiences designed and delivered by local hosts. Day experiences and longer itineraries all packed with local experiences, staying in premium accommodation, with transfers included.
Since the business was launched it has achieved 352% growth in sales and today has over 8,000 travel agents registered to use its website.
In July, Not in the Guidebooks said it was looking to fill four roles, including in marketing and product.
It launched its second crowdfund campaign in June.
