Norwegian Cruise Line says sales for its newest ship Norwegian Prima smashed previous booking records in the first week of sales.
The ship will begin sailing in August 2022 and will be the line’s first of six in the Prima Class.
“With this world-class ship, we are providing our guests with more wide-open spaces, elevated service, thoughtful design and a variety of experiences that go beyond expectation,” said Norwegian Cruise Line President and CEO Harry Sommer.
“Our record-breaking sales are a clear indicator of our guests’ excitement to return to the ocean and of the significant demand for a premium vacation experience.”
NCL said bookings for Norwegian Prima were double those for Norwegian Bliss when she debuted in 2018.
In addition, the line said almost 20% of bookings are for its top-end Haven suites, which Mr Sommer said indicates a desire for ‘top of the line experiences’.
