Homeworking travel agency group Not Just Travel has announced a number of initiatives for its consultants, including a new ‘Mastery’ training programme and an app.

It said the new elements form part of the ‘New NJT’, which has also introduced a mandatory training ‘Academy’ for new consultants.

The optional ‘Mastery’ programme offers intensive training for franchisees to become experts in specific markets such as cruise, skiing and golf.

Cruise Mastery is the first to launch.

The franchise also announced that its first-ever Seminar at Sea will take place in September onboard the new Norwegian Prima, when agents will receive intensive cruise-specific training by a number of industry experts.

NJT said its new phone-based app, to be unveiled soon, ‘will revolutionise the way NJT engages with existing and potential customers’ by creating new, streamlined ways of communicating.

Co-founder Paul Harrison said: “We never stop innovating and improving our offer to our members. We’re going into hyperdrive as the New NJT levels up our service across the board. We’ve built our business on relationships and everything we have done makes communication, selling and providing the best customer service more time-efficient, personal and effective.”

Fellow co-founder Steve Witt added: “New NJT represents a shift in mindset; taking our already expert consultants and turning them into industry Masters.”
