The next Britannia sailing will depart as scheduled following last weekend’s accident in Palma, Majorca, P&O Cruises has confirmed.
The planned 14-night Northern Europe and Scandinavia cruise will depart from Southampton as expected on Friday (1 September).
The ship is currently on its way back to the UK after sustaining damage to one of its lifeboats. Britannia slipped its moorings in a storm on Sunday night and hit a cargo ship that was docked alongside.
More than 300 guests and crew are believed to have been offloaded and forced to return home by air to accommodate for the reduced lifeboat capacity.
Britannia is due to arrive in Southampton on Friday morning, having missed a scheduled stop in Gibraltar on the way back.
