The Foreign Office has updated its travel advice to Nepal after the country removed COVID entry rules and the requirement to fill in an online arrival form.

The FCDO advice now says: “The Government of Nepal has removed the requirement for travellers to complete an Online International Travel Arrival Form.

“The Government of Nepal has also removed the requirement to prove COVID-19 vaccination status or to provide a negative PCR test on arrival for air and land arrivals but you should check the Nepal Department of Immigration website for latest developments.”

British travellers must have a passport valid for at least six months and will need a visa on arrival, which can be applied for at Online Services or at Kathmandu Airport.

The FCDO adds visitors may also be asked to show proof of adequate travel insurance and an initial hotel booking.
