NCL has told clients it may have to make changes to itineraries or on-board services ‘at very short notice’ because of COVID.

In a letter to passengers and travel agents, seen by Cruise Hive, NCL says: “We have been working diligently with local government agencies to return to your favourite destinations, so that we may provide a safe and memorable experience not only for you, but for those communities as well.”

But it warns: “Despite our best efforts to deliver an unparalleled service and to ensure the well-being of all on board, the global public health environment continues to rapidly evolve, posing unexpected challenges to our operations.

“Destinations may suddenly modify their travel requirements and restrictions, requiring us to revise our itineraries and potentially skip scheduled ports of call.

“In situations where a required itinerary change shortens the length of your cruise, we will provide you a prorated refund to the original form of payment. Furthermore, under certain circumstances onboard services may be impacted or limited to provide the safest environment possible.

“As always, we will do our very best to communicate any changes with you as soon as the information becomes available, however, many of these modifications may come at very short notice, or even during the voyage.”
