Norwegian Cruise Line is dropping all COVID health and safety restrictions this week.

From tomorrow (4 October) passengers won’t have to show proof of vaccination, take a pre-cruise test or stick to wearing masks where required.

The announcement comes a month after NCL removed pre-cruise testing for vaccinated guests but kept other COVID regulations in place.

NCL President and CEO Harry Sommer said: “Many travellers have been patiently waiting to take their long-awaited vacation at sea and we cannot wait to celebrate their return.

“Health and safety are always our first priority; in fact, we were the health and safety leaders from the very start of the pandemic,” he added.

NCL said it will follow guidelines in destinations on particular itineraries so, in some cases, passengers may have to adhere to destination-specific requirements.
