A new network support group has been set up to help working parents across the travel industry.
Called Back In Time For bed, (BITFB), the group is available to encourage and advise parents and guardians on childcare questions, hot topics and challenges.
It has been set up by Riviera Travel Head of Partnerships Vicky Billing (pictured above, left) and Panache Cruises Head of Supplier Relations Anna Perrott (above, right).
BITFB will act as a hub to connect parents in the industry; provide advice and recommendations, including resources such as maternity leave and return-to-work rights.
The founders also want to provide ‘light relief’ for when things get difficult.
The group will be active on social media and will run events, starting with a remote ‘lunch and learn’ on 1 March.
Vicky said: “I absolutely love the travel industry and, as a busy mum, want to give back to everyone in the same position as I am.
“We want parents to know they’re not alone and we’re all going through the same experiences.”
Anna added: “Being a mum is the hardest job I have ever done and I am constantly doing my best to navigate the work-life balance.
“We all struggle to juggle, for instance when pulling an all-nighter and then having a full day’s meetings.
“By being there for one another, and providing the resources and communications channels to assist with everything parent-related, we’ll help parents be back in time for bed – and hopefully get some sleep themselves.”
