MSC Cruises has cancelled three repositioning Grand Voyages in April because of dangers to ships in the Red Sea.
The sailings affected are MSC Splendida’s 24-night cruise from Durban in South Africa to Genoa in Italy, MSC Opera’s 21-night cruise from Dubai to Genoa, and MSC Virtuosa’s 23-night cruise from Dubai to Southampton.
The three ships will sail without passengers to their respective European homeports for the start of the summer season.
Passengers booked on the three repositioning cruises can transfer to a future Grand Voyage of a similar duration for free.
Alternatively, they can rebook on any other cruise, with either a partial refund or additional payment for the price difference, or receive a full refund.
Yemen’s Houthi militants have launched several attacks on ships in the Red Sea in response to Israel’s military action in Gaza.
