Martin Page (pictured top right) has recently joined Riviera Travel as Key Account Manager. Here he tells us about his weakness, what he’s most proud of and his lifelong passion.
I never travel without….travel insurance. From my time as an agent, through to overseas rep to present day, it amazes me the amount of people that ‘try and get away with it’.
My go-to destination is…Majorca; I lived there for 15 years so have a great affinity for the island.
The famous person I’d most like to travel with is…Morgan Freeman, so he could narrate the whole journey.
My weakness is…chocolate, when buying treats for agents that I am off to visit, an extra pack may ‘accidently’ slip into the basket.
My mantra is…live life for today, life is too short. Just go out and book your next holiday!
My hero is…YOU, the person reading this. After an horrendous two years, all agents, ‘roadies’, support staff, airline workers, all those who work in travel are my heroes.
The things I’m most proud of are…my children and my charity work for NEH Homeless and Newcastle foodbanks.
Born in…Crawley, brought up in Newcastle.
Live in… the greatest city in the world, Newcastle!
The most famous person I’ve met was…Sir Tom Jones whilst recording with Great Ormond Street.
When I was younger I wanted to be…a footballer; I have just become a UEFA C coach to help support grassroots football.
