He’s got a famous wife AND a famous cousin, here Ricardo Beeny, the new Exsus Senior Account Manager reveals a little more about himself.
I never travel without…. studying my destination and planning ahead of time
My go-to destination is… hard to pick, but it would have to be South America. There are so many places I’ve yet to explore.
When I travel I never get tired of listening to… the sound of nature
My weakness is… not being able to say no to my daughters, and my wife (sometimes!).
The next place I’ll visit is… Brazil, to cruise to Peru. Hapag-Lloyd has a once in a lifetime journey from Manaus to Iquitos, taking you through some of the most untouched parts of the Amazon.
My mantra is… the point of a journey is not to arrive. If there is no end you will always keep on going.
My hero is… my father. I am who I am today because of him.
The thing I’m most proud of is… my wife and two daughters. We moved to the UK in 2019 and they had to adjust to the British language, culture and leave friends and extended family behind. They are now more British than me.
The three things I’d take to a desert island are… my family, sun cream and a tent.
The most famous person I’ve met was… my wife, Patricia Nielsen, who is an international correspondent for Brazilian TV, and my cousin, Sarah Beeny, who has an amazing career in the UK as a property guru.
When I was younger, I wanted to be…a dentist, but it didn’t have the perks of travelling so I quickly changed my mind!
The thing I miss most while travelling is… my bed – I can’t sleep on aeroplanes!
