Flights to and from Mauritius have resumed after a cyclone warning was lifted yesterday
However, flights to and from the UK continue to be disrupted.
Air Mauritius confirmed that a delayed flight from London Gatwick departed yesterday at around 4.30pm, but yesterday’s flight from Mauritius to Gatwick was cancelled, as well as today’s flight from Gatwick to Mauritius.
The airline said booked passengers will be moved to the next flights.
The Foreign Office is warning that the Indian Ocean island will continue to be affected by Belal, which has been downgraded from a cyclone to a tropical storm.
It said visitors to Mauritius should ‘remain cautious and follow instructions from local authorities closely’.
