Tradewind Voyages Head of Sales Mark Schmitt has left the operator after two years.

Mark, who joined in May 2020 as Business Development Manager before becoming Head of Sales in April 2021, posted on LinkedIn to say he is looking for new opportunities.

He posted: “Hi everyone – I wanted to let you know I have left Tradewind Voyages.

“I don’t have anything lined up and I am looking for a new, exciting role.

“Thank you in advance for any connections, advice, or opportunities you can offer.”

Tradewind Voyages showcased its debut ship Golden Horizon, last summer, to around 80 cruise specialists, ahead of its official UK inaugural cruise.

But as it prepared to set sail on her maiden voyage, the ship was arrested at Dover in an apparent financial dispute, then released the following day.

Then, in October, the cruise line pulled its inaugural Caribbean season.

Travel Gossip has contacted Tradewind Voyages for comment.
