Hainan Airlines is to expand its service between Manchester and Beijing to daily service next summer.
The direct service currently runs four times weekly.
Between June and September, capacity will almost double, with a daily flight departing Manchester at 12.15pm.
Manchester became the first UK hub outside of London to gain a direct flight to mainland China when Hainan Airlines launched its service to Beijing in 2016.
The airline’s partnership with Loganair means passengers from other UK regions can connect to the flight, with tickets available from Aberdeen, Inverness, the Isle of Man and Newquay to Beijing with passengers transferring at Manchester.
