Malta is dropping the need for a pre-departure COVID test for unvaccinated arrivals.
From 25 July, people travelling to Malta without a vaccine or recovery certificate don’t need to present a negative test.
The update was announced on the Visit Malta website.
The UK Foreign Office (FCDO) has yet to update its advice. It currently states: “All passengers are required to present on arrival in Malta either a valid vaccination certificate, a negative PCR test taken within the last 72 hours, or a negative rapid antigen test taken within the last 24 hours.”
The FCDO last updated its advice on 4 July.
