Online travel agent Loveholidays has launched in Germany, where it is trading as weloveholidays.

The OTA said the expansion was part of its plan to become Europe’s leading package holiday provider.

Its German operation, based in Dusseldorf, is led by Jan Kuklinski, who joined the business as General Manager of weloveholidays earlier this year from price comparison site CHECK24.

The expansion comes weeks after loveholidays became the UK’s third largest ATOL holder, with a licence to carry almost 2.5 million passengers.

It follows its entry into the Irish market in 2016.
