Travelpack has brought back its popular Regional Sales Manager Lisa Harkness, two years after the pandemic forced the company to make her redundant.

Lisa left Travelpack at the start of the pandemic and, a few months later, got a job at Tesco. Since May last year, she’s been working as Assistant Manager at Barrhead Travel in Dumfries.

She told Travel Gossip: “I was made redundant at the start of the pandemic – before we knew about the furlough scheme.

“Unfortunately, it was one of those things. But at the time [Sales and Marketing Director] Vishal Patel said he hoped to bring everyone back.

“He phoned me two weeks ago and said now’s the right time. I was delighted to accept. I start tomorrow – 1 March.

“Things are picking up and the last few months people are starting to book. I’m really excited to be getting back on the road for Travelpack.”

Lisa’s area covers Scotland, Northern Ireland, Ireland, Cumbria, Sunderland and Newcastle.
