Ryanair cabin crew have started four days of industrial action, with staff at the airline’s 10 Spanish bases striking from today until 15 July.

Their union USO said staff are due to walk out again from 18 to 21 July and from 25 to 28 July.

EasyJet crew based at Palma, Barcelona and Malaga are also due to strike from Friday to Sunday this week and again from 29 to 31 July.

Ryanair has said it doesn’t expect widespread disruption to its flights to and from Spain as a result of the industrial action as the airline doesn’t believe the striks are ‘well supported’.

However, the strikes by Ryanair and easyJet crew are likely to lead to some flight disruption, including delays and cancellations.
