LATAM is celebrating the launch of its direct flight from London to Lima in Peru, which will operate five times a week.
The first 12-hour, 6,307-mile flight from London Heathrow Airport to Jorge Chávez International Airport took off last Saturday.
The service will be operated by a Boeing 787-9 aircraft with 300 seats.
“We are aware of the enthusiasm this announcement has generated in both countries and this gives us great expectations for the future,” said Davide Ioppolo, LATAM’s Regional Commercial Director for Central and Southeast Europe, UK, Nordic Countries and South Africa.
“Our hub in Lima connects 19 destinations within Peru and more than 30 international destinations,” he added.
