New cruise line Riverside Luxury Cruises has appointed former AmaWaterways National Sales Manager Jon Knight as its new Head of Sales UK & Ireland.

The line has been set up following the recent acquisition of the remaining four vessels of the Crystal Cruises’ river fleet.

Jon’s experience in the luxury travel sectoralso includes previous sales roles at Silversea Cruises and Von Essen Hotels.

He joined the growing river cruise line this month and will lead the sales efforts in the UK and Ireland, with a key focus on developing a trade luxury distribution channel.

Managing Director Stuart Perl said: “Jon’s extensive network will play a crucial role in our growth as we move forwards with this exciting new river cruise venture.”

Jon said: “I am excited to be able to introduce a unique luxury proposition to the trade and look forward to growing our distribution network and taking our travel partners with us on this exciting journey.”
