The JG Travel Group has launched new Game of Thrones themed breaks, including a visit to the brand-new Game of Thrones Studio Tour in Northern Ireland, plus a special guided tour by coach of key filming locations.

The operator’s Just Go! Holidays brand will offer four-day breaks by air, whilst National Holidays will offer four-day options by coach.

The new Game of Thrones Studio Tour opens this Friday, 4 February. It is located at the Linen Mill Studios in Banbridge, and will offer fans of the show the chance to discover how the iconic fantasy novel series was transformed for the screen to become one of the greatest ever television series.

This new attraction will allow visitors to see first-hand the intricate detail of the costumes weapons and props, plus encounter interactive elements to relive some of the most memorable scenes from the show.

There is also the chance to step onto original sets, including the iconic Great Hall at Winterfell where John Snow was proclaimed the ‘King in the North’ and view genuine set pieces including Daenerys Targaryen’s Dragonstone throne.

A guided tour by coach of key Game of Thrones filming locations along the Antrim Coast is also included, such as Castle Black and The Wall,  the free city of Braavos to GOT fans) and the harbour steps where Arya Stark was attacked by The Waif.

The JG Travel Group will also be working with Tourism Ireland to promote its products across the entire island over the coming months, including these new breaks, which are expected to be a big draw for fans.

JG Travel Group Sales and Yield Director Matt Herbert said: “The Game of Thrones series and its many filming locations have been a key driver in generating demand to visit Northern Ireland for some time now. I have absolutely no doubt that the opening of this new attraction will give many customers even more reason to make the trip, be it for the first time or a returning visit.

“Other studio tours are huge sellers for us, and we expect to see similar sales levels for these new breaks. I would expect that there will be a lot of hype around the opening, and I’d urge agents to ensure they are promoting our packages early to encourage bookings from fans of the show who are wanting to experience it.”

National Holidays’ four-day coach tour starts at £399pp and Just Go! Holidays’ option starts from £499pp, including flights.
