Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have announced plans to support the National Apprenticeship Week 2024.

Taking place from 5-11 February, the annual event brings together businesses and apprentices across the country to raise awareness of apprenticeships.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays will be showing their support with a week-long series of activities, including attending the Leeds Apprenticeship Recruitment Fair, Tree Planting with their charity partner, Trees for Cities, a session on managing money delivered by Barclays Digital Eagles, and encouraging apprentices to return to their schools and colleges to deliver careers talks.

The theme for 2024 is ‘Skills for Life’, which aims to promote apprenticeship opportunities at all ages.

Last month Jet2holidays launched its Appoint an Apprentice scheme, with the company offering up to £5,000 towards the salary of each new apprentice hired by its independent agent partners across the UK.

In October, Jet2.com and Jet2holidays also recognised 33 apprentices graduating from their apprenticeship scheme, and they now have permanent positions with the business.

Jet2.com and Jet2holidays HR Director Miriam D’souli said: “Our apprentices are integral to our ongoing business success and growth, so we are delighted to be involved with the Supporters Club for National Apprenticeship Week 2024. With the significant recruitment of even more apprentices planned for next year as well as the opportunities available to existing colleagues, the future of Jet2.com and Jet2holidays looks very bright with the array of talent progressing through the companies.

“The success of our award-winning business is due to our dedicated colleagues, and we are motivated to continue recruiting the best team the industry has to offer. As our apprenticeship programme plays a key role in our development, we look forward to continuously welcoming even more apprentices and nurturing existing talent, to ensure we continue to be industry leaders.”
