Flights to Rome from Birmingham and Manchester recommence on Monday 7 February, with Barcelona resuming on 10 February, then several other city destinations starting on 11 February, including to Budapest, Krakow, Prague, Paris and Venice.

In addition, three brand-new breaks are launching in April: Birmingham to Barcelona on 7 April and Birmingham and Manchester to Athens on 14 April.

CEO Steve Heapy said: “We are delighted to be resuming our popular city breaks programme to a number of favourite city break destinations.

“With travel starting to return to normal, the demand for city breaks is coming back very strongly and the restart of our award-winning cities programme to key city break destinations comes at the perfect time to get away and explore a new capital or cultural centre.

“Our city breaks programme offers customers and independent travel agents lots of choice and flexibility to choose from for a memorable getaway.

“We are looking ahead with real confidence and optimism, and we expect the return of our cities programme to a number of major city break destinations be very popular, as we know how much customers want to discover their dream city break in 2022.”

From Birmingham, Jet2’s four-times-a-week service to Rome starts on 7 February; then twice weekly services to the following cities will launch: Prague and Krakow, 11 February; Budapest, 4 March; Amsterdam 28 March; Athens, 14 April; Barcelona – a brand new route from the airport – and Venice from 7 April.

From Glasgow, twice weekly flights resume to Rome and Krakow on 11 February and Prague on 3 March.

From Manchester, four weekly flights will operate to three destinations: Rome from 7 February; Barcelona from 10 February and Budapest from 11 February, while the Krakow route will increase from two to four a week from 14 February.

Twice weekly services will operate from Manchester to Prague and Venice on 11 February; Nice from 14 March; Pisa from 28 March and Athens from 14 April.

From Leeds Bradford, four weekly services restart to Paris on 11 February and to Barcelona on 4 April; while two weekly services to Krakow and Prague restart from 11 February; Budapest starts on 4 March and Rome on 7 April.

From Newcastle, Rome, Krakow and Prague all restart on 11 February, with flights twice a week.
