Jet2 says strong demand for holidays to the Canaries, mainland Spain and Portugal as well as ski flights to Europe have driven a 30% year-on-year increase in bookings over the past four weeks.

It says it is also seeing strong demand for summer ’22 since the Government announced an end to testing on return to the UK for fully vaccinated holidaymakers.

Both its airline and package holiday arm have more capacity on sale for this summer compared to summer 2019 as demand for some departures is exceeding pre-pandemic levels.

It is forecasting a ‘busy summer’ for Spain and its islands, Portugal and Italy and its says there’s also ‘huge demand’ for Greece, Turkey and Cyprus for summer.

Jet2 said February half-term, the Easter holidays and summer ’22 are all performing ‘very well’.
