Jet2.com and Jet2holidays have expanded their existing summer 2024 programme from Manchester Airport.

Extra departures have been added to destinations already served from Manchester, including Spain and Greece, meaning Jet2 will now operate more than 340 weekly flights during peak periods to 58 sun and city destinations from the airport this summer.

The extra capacity represents nearly 100,000 more seats compared to summer 2023 and is Jet2’s biggest summer programme to operate from the airport.

Additional daily services to Lanzarote will operate between 21 April and 1 November, bringing the number of peak weekly departures to the island from Manchester for summer 2024 to 14.

There will be extra services every Wednesday, Thursday and Sunday from 26 May to 31 October to Alicante, bringing the total number of peak departures each week to 13.

The Greek islands of Corfu, Crete and Kos will also get additional flights, with an extra Monday flight to Chania on Corfu, an additional Friday service to Heraklion (also Corfu), an extra Wednesday flight to Crete and an extra Thursday flight to Kos, all operating between July and September. These services bring the total number of peak departures each week to 10 each for Corfu and Heraklion, four to Chania and eight to Kos.

Sardinia will get additional Saturday flights between 6 July and 28 September, bringing the number of peak weekly departures from Manchester to three.

Finally, there will be an additional Thursday service to Reus during the first two weeks of May and to Bourgas, Bulgaria, from 4-11 July.

CEO Steve Heapy said: “We are seeing strong and sustained demand for Summer 24 across the board, with flights and holidays proving very popular from Manchester Airport. As the UK’s largest tour operator, we have reacted quickly to that demand by adding extra capacity to a host of sunshine favourites from the airport.”
