Jet2 has boosted capacity from Stansted in response to demand from agents in the south east of England.
The airline has added a 16th plane at Stansted to support peak summer season operations.
The extra aircraft means Jet2 can offer more departures from Stansted to Majorca, Ibiza, Menorca, Sicily, Faro, Crete, Kalamata and Rhodes.
The UK’s largest tour operator and third largest airline have also introduced flights and holidays to Bourgas (pictured), Bulgaria, with a twice-a-week service from 21 July to late September.
Overall Jet2 has increased capacity by 15% at Stansted this summer, compared with the same season last year.
More than 40 destinations are on sale including new routes Rome, Athens and now Bourgas.
Chief Executive Steve Heapy said: “The demand from customers and independent travel agents has remained strong for several months, so we have once again responded by expanding our programme and investing in our London Stansted operation.
“Customers and independent travel agents now have more choice, more destinations and more sunshine to look forward to with our award-winning holiday business and airline.
“This expansion further strengthens our presence at Stansted Airport and we look forward to filling our aircraft with happy holidaymakers.”
