Jet2 has agreed a new line of credit worth up to £300 million and has expanded its 2024 summer programme further.
The new revolving credit facility (RCF) has been secured with Barclays Bank, Lloyds, HSBC and National Westminster.
The operator issued a statement to the London Stock Exchange on Wednesday to say: “The RCF which is unsecured, provides the group with available facilities of up to £300 million, which is an increase on its previous RCF of £100 million.”
News of the extra credit came as Jet2 announced it had added to the summer 2024 programme it launched last week, with flights from three more UK airports now on sale.
The addition of summer 2024 flights from Stansted, Manchester and Birmingham totals over 15 million seats.
Jet2 will now offer 42 destinations from both Stansted and Birmingham, and 45 from Manchester, including the Canary Islands, Greece, Turkey and other key summer sun routes.
Two new routes from Stansted have been added to the programme: a twice-weekly service to Bourgas in Bulgaria, and a weekly flight to Tivat in Montenegro (pictured).
Jet2 CEO Steve Heapy said: “Following the positive response from independent travel agents to seven UK bases going on sale last week, we are very pleased to be adding Birmingham, London Stansted and Manchester Airports.”
He added that city break destinations for 2024 will be launched shortly.
Earlier this week, Jet2 announced it has ordered 35 additional aircraft.
