The operator said the programme is its largest to date with 120 outbound services from 10 UK airports.

It will operate twice-weekly scheduled flights to Keflavík International Airport near Reykjavik from Birmingham and Manchester during peak periods, while more than 40 three and four night packages will be available from Bristol, Belfast, Edinburgh, East Midlands , Glasgow, Leeds Bradford, Newcastle and Stansted.

The scheduled programme to Birmingham and Manchester will operate between 29 September and 21 November and again between 9 February and 24 April. Flights will depart Monday and Thursday.

Chief Executive Steve Heapy said the expanded programme, which includes three packages from Bristol, follows increased demand.

“With a great programme of scheduled flights, complemented by over 40 dedicated trips, we are giving customers and independents travel agents more choice and flexibility than ever before,” he said.

“The unrivalled natural wonders of Iceland are making it a firm favourite with our customers.”
