River cruise firm Riviera Travel has launched its first radio advertising campaign along with social media video ads as it looks to capture the imagination of travel-starved Brits.

The radio ads, which air on Classic FM, are voiced by Buffy the Vampire Slayer actor Anthony Head.

The campaign tells travellers it’s ‘time to catch up’ and invites holidaymakers to join a Riviera cruise.

Head of brand and acquisition Sarah Fowler said: “We know that many people haven’t travelled abroad since before March 2020, but our customers have told us they’re longing to get back to travel this year.

“Our campaign aims to bring to life the amazing experiences guests can enjoy on our luxury river cruises, reminding them just how special travel can be and tapping into that desire to catch up with the world again.”

Ms Fowler praised the trade for their support.

“The trade have been brilliant to work alongside during the past couple of years, and we’re so grateful for the support we have continued to receive,” she said. “We hope they enjoy our adverts and continue to back Riviera Travel during the crucial Wave period.”

The video ads will support a digital campaign across Facebook, YouTube and Google.
