InteleTravel has signed up more than 200 Irish agents after expanding into the Republic of Ireland.

An Irish website, has been set up, partner contracts negotiated to allow trading in euros and mandatory training relevant to the Ireland requirements has been introduced.

A dedicated events programme has kicked in with an Ireland Agent Welcome held at Dublin Airport, Partner webinars, and a full day of Dream Maker training on 1 April.

Mandatory training includes the Package Holidays and Travel Trade Act, Tour Operator Payment Protection System (TOPPS), and Data Protection Commission, which applies to GDPR in Ireland.

InteleTravel said interest in the group had been growing throughout Ireland since it held its conference in Belfast, in Northern Ireland, last October.

“It’s taken a lot of planning but we didn’t want to launch until we had everything in place,” said UK Director Tricia Handley-Hughes.

“We now have a great opportunity to encourage this new pipeline of talent into the business and nurture them from the start using our outstanding training programme.

“New registrations have been much higher than expected, primarily because of our business model, and we are delighted to welcome so many new members. Our partners are excited at the prospect of potential new revenue streams that will help boost their Ireland business.”

Intele said new agents had been attracted by its ‘minimal’ initial cost and ‘small monthly subscription’.
