Lakes and mountains specialist Inghams will re-start its programme on 31 July, offering holidays to France and Switzerland.

It will be the first time the operator has taken clients abroad since last October, since it was forced to cancel its winter ski programme.

Head of Agency Sales Julie Franklin said: “We are very excited to have two of our destinations open up for our agents to sell.

“Both, Switzerland and France offer some fantastic options for agents to offer their customers for a great European holiday with a difference.

“Having hosted a recent Swiss event we know the demand is there and we will ensure we support agents with social media activity to help with promotions.”

Inghams is offering flights to France and Switzerland from Birmingham, Bristol, Edinburgh, Liverpool, London and Manchester.

France and Switzerland are on the UK travel amber list and the Foreign Office has removed its advice against non-essential travel to both destinations, however they only allow fully-vaccinated holidaymakers quarantine-free entry. France also exempts under 18s travelling with vaccinated adults from quarantine.

Any Inghams customers who aren’t fully-vaccinated and have existing summer 2021 bookings to France or Switzerland can move their bookings for free to a later date up till 31 August 2021.

Testing is still required when visiting France and Switzerland and Inghams says it is securing a discounted rate with testing suppliers.
