A Liverpool-based agent is celebrating today after an event she organised netted her more than £60k of bookings.

Florida-mad Julie Hendrickson has so far secured three bookings from the Orlando evening, including one for a family of 18 to Florida, staying in a 10-bed villa.

The family package, including Disney tickets, cost almost £55k.

“They haven’t added the cars on yet, but they are talking about four cars, so that’s potentially another £4,800,” said Julie.

She also took another two bookings from the event in Liverpool, which attracted 40 people.

One booking was for a couple to Disney and Universal and the other was a bespoke San Francisco, Los Angeles, Las Vegas trip.

“It was quite a successful event I think,” said Julie, who launched her travel agency business just before the pandemic.

“I spent a year training and building my clientele, then the second and third year giving those clients refunds, and this year I’m finally growing my business,” she said.

Julie, who has visited Orlando 39 times, specialises in the US region with her business, Easy Travel with Julie.
