Travel agents are to be given new tools to help combat clients’ misconceptions of touring as part of a campaign by Incredible Journeys.

The dnata Travel Group-owned operator has launched a new promotion, Touring Uncovered, accompanied by a 48-page guide for agents, to help them persuade customers that touring is not as daunting as they may have been led to believe.

Touring Uncovered aims to turn misconceptions about touring into positives, addressing issues such as safety for women, and how touring can be the perfect holiday choice for families as well as solo travellers.

The campaign tackles common beliefs that may deter customers from choosing this type of holiday, such as ‘touring holiday is just another term for coach holiday’; ‘I’m travelling solo, touring isn’t really for me’ or  ‘touring accommodation is always basic hotels or camps’.

In addition to the agent guide, Incredible Journeys will also share e-shots, social content, posters and printed direct mail to 250 of the brand’s top touring agent partners.

Head of Product – West Mark Henderson said: “At Incredible Journeys we believe touring can be for anyone, and outdated misconceptions should not hold people back from exploring the beauty that the world has to offer, or hold agents back from offering these experiences to their customers.

“Agents can be assured that the experienced and knowledgeable Incredible Journeys team will build the perfect tour, curated to the needs of their clients and with the utmost attention to detail.”

The operator is reminding agents they could be in with a chance to win a place on a fam trip to Vietnam with G Adventures and Incredible Journeys in September by making a booking.

Agents who make any booking with Incredible Journeys will be entered into the prize draw, while bookings made with the operator for G Adventures tours will qualify for two entries.
