Iberostar teamed up with Southampton Airport to take five agents on a fam trip to Majorca following the launch of easyJet’s flights from the regional airport.
It was the first time the hotel chain had collaborated with a UK airport on a fam trip, and it was the first ever fam for all five agents.
They flew out of Southampton on easyJet’s inaugural flight to Palma, which operates twice weekly, on Mondays and Thursdays, and visited nine Iberostar hotels on the island.
Travel Counsellor Julie Oliver said: “For a first fam it will be hard to beat,” adding that she’d had an ‘amazing’ time in Majorca, hosted by Audrey Thomson from Southampton Airport and Iberostar Business Development Manager Eilidh Marshall.
Becky Kimber of the Holiday Fixer admitted she was ‘a little apprehensive’ about her first fam trip as she didn’t know what to expect, but added: “Audrey who was representing Southampton Airport (which is a dream by the way and small airports are the way forward!) and Eilidh from Iberostar have set the bar very high for me moving forward!”
The other agents on the trip were Lucy Carey and Martine Pearce, both of Hays Travel, and Divya Salter of The Holiday Village.
