Manchester Airport will have 1,500 roles to fill at a special jobs fair on Tuesday.

The event is taking place at the at the Greater Manchester Chamber of Commerce, in Manchester City Centre. It will be held in the Elliot Suite on Deansgate from 10am till 2pm.

Vacancies range from ramp and baggage agents with ground handler Swissport to customer services, security, hospitality and car parking to jobs in the airport’s restaurant and retail outlets.

Meanwhile Jet2 and Jet2holidays are looking to take on 70 new apprentices this year as part of an expansion of their nationwide apprenticeship programme.

The new recruits will work in a variety of areas including engineering, marketing, IT, payroll, customer services, operations control and health and safety.
