Around 600 agents have already registered to take part in Travel Gossip’s week-long free New to Cruise Bootcamp, launching on Monday 11 September.

During the week, they will be able to watch live and recorded online training sessions with various lines from the ocean, river and expedition sectors, providing them with vital information to help them more confidently sell cruise.

In a survey sent to those who’ve signed up for the Bootcamp, more than 70% rated their cruise selling skills as ‘low’, with half of all attendees giving themselves a rating of just one out of five.

“There is clearly an appetite among agents to learn more about cruising, which represents an incredible opportunity for them to boost their earnings, but we know that it can be confusing for those who are new to cruise, which is why we’ve launched this Bootcamp,” said Travel Gossip MD Bruce Martin.

“During the week, attendees will pick up lots of knowledge that will help to improve their selling skills and give them the confidence they need to enter this growing market.”

In addition to panel discussions and online training sessions, there will be an opportunity for agents to win prizes, including £250 in cash, in a big quiz at the end of the week. They will also have access to Travel Gossip’s exclusive new-to-cruise selling guides.
