Travel Counsellors made nearly £60 million-worth of new UK sales in July.

Of the sales, £40.3m were for leisure bookings – an increase of 43% compared to 2019 – and £15.6m were for corporate bookings, up 27% on 2019.

Around 38,905 leisure customers travelled in July, up from 30,322 for the same period in 2019.

A recent customer survey shows that consumer confidence is still high and the desire to travel remains strong for this summer and next.

More than 60% state that the current cost of living has no or minimal impact on their international holiday plans for 2022 and 2023.

According to recent sales figures, the most popular destinations for the remainder of the summer are Spain, the US and Greece, while the US, Barbados, Australia and the Maldives are the most popular choices for winter 2022/23.

Looking further ahead, Greece, Spain and the US are currently the strongest destinations for summer 2023.
